Hi Newport Church Family,

We hope that you are experiencing a fresh measure of God’s grace and favor this year!

Audacious Faith

Charles Spurgeon said, “Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.” Spurgeon’s powerful statement reminds us of the dynamic power of prayer to move God to act on our behalf, and to never underestimate the power of prayer.

God is not only able to answer our prayers in supernatural ways, but He is waiting for us to ask, so that He can answer. God is omnipotent and our prayers move Him!

James, the brother of Jesus said, “you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.”

We encourage you to keep asking God to act on your behalf while thanking Him for His faithfulness and His promises, as we lay the foundation for our year.

Last Sunday I spoke on the Prayer of Jabez and how he was audacious enough to ask God to bless him, enlarge his territory and for God’s hand to be with him, while keeping him from evil and causing pain.

Those verses end with these words, “and God granted Jabez what he asked for!”

Let’s have that same audacious faith and ask God to bless us, our families, our church, our city, nation and world!

God is waiting to hear our prayer, and He longs to answer that which we ask for.

May 2022 be a year when we “ask and receive, seek and find, knock and have supernatural doors opened to us!”

Every morning, during our 21 days of Prayer and Fasting, we have been praying together. We would love to have you join us for the last two of these days, by clicking on this link between 6.30 to 7.00am.

God is waiting for us to ask and His ear is inclined to our prayer!

Vision Sunday 30th January

On Sunday 30th January we will be presenting our Vision Focus for 2022, and we encourage you to mark your calendar and do everything you can to be with us in person at church or online.

We’re excited about all that God has in store and the part that each one of us can play in partnering with God to see His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

God First

Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”

This means that when we put God first, He will make it His business to add all that we need to our lives.

As we establish and reestablish priorities for 2022, let’s put God first so that we can experience all that Jesus promised he would add to us.

When it comes to giving, we can put God first with our tithe and giving the first fruits of all our increase.

When it comes to our time, I love what Hudson Taylor, the great 19th century missionary to China, said:

“Do not have your concert first, and then tune your instrument afterwards. Begin the day with the Word of God and prayer, and get first of all into harmony with Him.”

How true it is that when we start our day by connecting with God and His Spirt, we position ourselves for God to seal our day with His blessing.

Let’s make a decision this year that we are going to put God first in every area of our lives, and have an audacious faith that God will add to every area of our lives and church supernaturally!

If you have never put God to the test by taking Him up on His challenge to tithe, the beginning of the year is a great time to do so.

God not only allows us to put him to the test but He challenges us to do so!

Click on this link to take a look at our “Give God 90 Days” Card, and test God now to see how He will open the windows of heaven for you!

For those who have already established God’s pattern of tithing, we can continue to take new steps of faith through the giving of our offerings over and above our regular tithes.

This Sunday!

We can’t wait to see you this Sunday, either in person or online. It’s going to be a great morning and it won’t be the same without you!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
