Hi Newport Church Family,

We trust that you are in good health and spirit.

Thank You!

A big thank you to all those who contributed to our annual Miracle Offering last Sunday.

It is always a significant Sunday for us, as we sow a miracle seed and ask God to multiply it supernaturally, as He promises to do in His Word.

Your generosity makes a difference and we are thankful for you and all that you contribute to the life of our church.

If you have not yet had an opportunity to give your miracle offering it’s not too late ,and you can do so by clicking on this link.

In the coming weeks we will give you an update on the total amount given.

We are believing that it will help us continue to be a hub of hope and faith and storehouse for our community.

Over the last two weekends I have shared the news that, after 7 years, our time in our current building is drawing to a close.

If you were not able to be with us to hear the details, we encourage you to listen to this podcast, along with the last message in my series, “Where’s the Miracle?”

As we prepare for our move, there are a few thoughts that came to my mind that I believe were prompted by the Holy Spirit.

These are taken from the story of Joshua’s crossing of the Jordan, into the Promised Land, and are steps of faith that we can all take to move our church forward in this coming season.

Then Joshua said to the people,

“Sanctify yourselves [for His purpose], for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders (miracles) among you.” Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over [the river] ahead of the people.” So they took up the ark of the covenant and went on ahead of the people.

Joshua 3:5 Amp

Three things that we can all do:

1)  PRAY

“Then Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves [for His purpose], for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders (miracles) among you.”

We can set ourselves apart to pray, and pave the way forward with our prayers, just as David paved the way for the Ark from Obed-Edom’s house to Jerusalem with sacrifices to God.

There is nothing like prayer to pave the way for God’s presence!

Please join us in praying for God’s guidance, wisdom, provision and favor for this coming season.

Every Tuesday morning from 6.30am to 7am we have a prayer meeting on zoom and we would love to have you join us, even for a part of that time.

Remember you always can turn the video and microphone off if you are getting ready for your day!

The link is on our website and we look forward to having you join us for a faith filled way to start your day!

2)  CARRY

“Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over [the river] ahead of the people.” So they took up the ark of the covenant and went on ahead of the people.”

We can carry the vision forward, just as the Ark was carried across the Jordan through, our engagement, participation, faith and investment.

Let’s be carriers of the vision through the investment of our time, talent and treasure.

When we all lift together it’s amazing what we can achieve!

3)  LEAD

“So they took up the ark of the covenant and went on ahead of the people.”

We can all lead though our faith, example, encouragement, enthusiasm and presence.

As Paul said to his son in the faith Timothy:

Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Let’s lead the way, knowing that God will make a way for us just as He parted the waters of the Jordan for Joshua and the nation of Israel.

Thank you for Praying, for Carrying and for Leading  as we move forward together!

We can’t wait to see you this Sunday, it’s going to be a great morning and it won’t be the same without you.

If you would like to invite someone to join us on our live stream you can share this link with them.

Come early for a great cup of coffee and time of connection!

We love and appreciate you all greatly,
Jonathan and Dianne Wilson
