Hi Newport Church Family,

We hope that you had a very happy and blessed Easter!

What a great weekend we had together as we celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus in our Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.

As we now move out of the Easter season we can draw fresh inspiration and

strength from the events that took place in the days that followed that most significant of all weeks two thousand years ago.

Forty Days of Engagement

After His death and resurrection Jesus appeared to His disciples over a period of forty days, engaging them in face to face meetings in which He talked to them about the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

Luke writes the following description of these days:

“After his death, he presented himself alive to them in many different settings over a period of forty days. In face-to-face meetings, he talked to them about things concerning the kingdom of God. As they met and ate meals together, he told them that they were on no account to leave Jerusalem but “must wait for what the Father promised: the promise you heard from me. John baptized in water; you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. And soon.” Acts 1:3 MSG

In these forty days of engagement Jesus was preparing His disciples for the mission that He had called them to fulfill.

Only when their attention was engaged, their ears open, and their hearts receptive could their eyes were opened to the magnitude of what Jesus had just accomplished and was going to accomplish through them.

It is important to note that it was the level of their engagement that determined the level of revelation and insight they received about the kingdom and the eternal impact of the extraordinary events that had just transpired.

Just as the disciples made the forty days after Jesus’ resurrection a time of renewed engagement, let’s engage with Jesus in these next forty days with renewed focus and ever greater devotion.

And let’s pray that God will release His resurrection life in each one of us and our church with many unquestionable demonstrations of His power!

Miracle May Generosity Zoom Call – 9am Saturday April 30th

Next Saturday is the eve of Miracle May, a month when we ask God to move in miraculous ways in our lives, our neighbors lives and in our church.

Every year we have seen God answer our prayers in specific and supernatural ways because Jesus said, “all things are possible for those who believe!”

There is something powerful about focus and we would love to have you join us for our thirty minute zoom call next Saturday April 30th from 9.00-9.30am, during which time we will pray for financial miracles for you, your family and our church.

Let’s never forget that God’s desire is to bless us so that we can be a blessing to our family and world. He is not only willing but able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that we could ask or imagine!

Save the date and time and let’s believe for miracles together!

Thank you for your Generosity

Thank you for your generosity, which is not only making a way for others  but is seed that will produce a harvest for you in the days ahead.

This is our prayer for you….

“Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness” 2 Cor 9:10

We are making a difference together and it would not be possible without you!
